Current Paddock is the work of Munich-based motorsport photographer Umair Anwar, with a focus on Formula 1, Formula E, GT racing and the European formula championships.
The work covers three settings: track sessions, the paddock before a session starts, and the wider race weekend around the circuit.
Current Paddock works at circuits under media accreditation, granted by series organisers and event promoters. Access covers the full race weekend, from practice and qualifying through to the races, and takes in the pit lane, the garages and the paddock.
Images are published here and are available to publications, teams and series for editorial use. The events covered are listed in the race calendar above.
Purpose
More than racing.
Current Paddock supports Race Against Dementia, the charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE.
Sir Jackie founded the charity in 2016, after his wife Helen was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Race Against Dementia funds early-career scientists working on the prevention and cure of dementia, and applies methods drawn from Formula 1 to move that research faster.
